Some nights stay with you forever.

The American Heart Association Heart Ball on April 25th at the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health was one of those nights.
From the moment you walked into the room, you could feel it. Not just the beauty of the event itself, but the heart behind it. The volunteers, staff, survivors, doctors, families, donors, and advocates all came together to create something incredibly meaningful for the Las Vegas community.
Events like this do not happen by accident.
There are countless people behind the scenes who pour themselves into creating nights that raise awareness, fund research, support survivors, and remind people they are not alone. To the entire American Heart Association team and everyone who helped bring the evening together—thank you. You created something truly special.

One of the most emotional moments of the evening was standing beside the incredible children honored as Caretakers of the Torch.
As a heart attack survivor and fellow Caretaker of the Torch, that moment hit deeply.
Heart disease unfortunately touches every age.
And yet despite everything these young survivors have already faced, they still radiated joy, strength, courage, and hope in a way that moved the entire room.
Sometimes we think strength looks loud or fearless.
But that night reminded me that real strength can look like simply continuing forward. Showing up. Smiling anyway. Carrying hope through uncertainty. These kids reminded all of us what resilience truly looks like.
The American Heart Association continues to create spaces where survivors and families feel seen, supported, and connected—and that matters more than words can fully explain.

And of course, a special thank you to Heather Mills, who absolutely crushed it once again as MC for the evening. Her energy, compassion, and ability to bring people together helped make the night unforgettable.
For me personally, nights like this are a reminder of why Enusia exists in the first place.
What began after one of the hardest moments of my life eventually became something rooted in preparedness, confidence, advocacy, and continuing to live fully.

Because support matters.
Community matters.
Awareness matters.
And sometimes the strongest people in the room are the smallest ones standing on that stage reminding all of us what hope looks like. ❤️
