Five years later, I'm still sharing my story.
Not because I'm reliving what happened.
Because every time I do, someone reaches out and says, "I thought I was the only one."
When I survived my heart attack, everyone focused on the physical recovery. What no one prepared me for was the anxiety, PTSD, panic attacks, and emotional challenges that followed.
For a long time, I thought something was wrong with me.
Then I started talking about it.
And people started sharing their stories with me.
That's when I realized something important.
I wasn't looking for answers.
I was asking to be heard.
The more openly I spoke about my experience, the more I learned how many people are silently struggling after a medical event, trauma, loss, or major life change.
Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is listen.
And sometimes being heard is the first step toward healing.
I wasn't looking for answers.
I was asking to be heard.
And once I found others willing to listen, I learned something important:
I was never alone.
If you're struggling, please know this:
Your feelings are valid.
Your story matters.
And you are not alone.
